About The Owners

In 2000 Steve and Daniela Kennedy were looking for a business venture about which they could be excited. They appreciated Steamboat’s sense of community, and the opportunity to ride and ski matched their active lifestyle. The Homesteader, known to locals as “the kitchen store on Lincoln,” was the perfect fit, considering Daniela’s experience as a European pastry chef and Steve’s background as an accountant. Together, they find great products and make them available at a great price.

Stop by the store and you may find Steve discussing the details of fine cutlery, and Daniela filling an order, and, if you are lucky, little Samantha will be dancing her way around the demonstration kitchen!
